The Snow and Ice Pooled Fund Cooperative Program’s podcast, SICOP Talks Winter Ops, recently invited APTech Senior Engineer Greg Duncan, P.E. as a guest speaker and subject matter expert. SICOP is an American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO) technical service program and is made up of various transportation professionals from across the United States, including Greg himself at one point. He served as the chair of SICOP during 2014 and 2015.

Greg’s decades of pavement maintenance experience at both the Tennessee Department of Transportation and APTech offered valuable insights to listeners. During the episode, titled “Potholes and other leftovers from winter storms,” Greg and host Rick Nelson discussed how even after winter storms pass, the leftover moisture—combined with freezing temperatures and traffic loads—can continue to cause problems for pavements. Listen to the full episode on both Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

To learn more about how Greg and the rest of the APTech team can assist with your pavement maintenance and preservation needs, you can find him at the upcoming 2023 AEMA-ARRA-ISSA Annual Meeting in Litchfield Park, Arizona from February 28 to March 3.
