APTech reselected for Kane County, Illinois pavement engineering project
APTech is excited to announce we were recently reselected for an engineering contract with Kane County, Illinois. Through this renewed partnership, we will again provide our premier pavement management services to the county and its citizens.
This project will be conducted by APTech’s Local Municipalities and Private Agencies Program Director, Mark Gardner, P.E. Mark led the pavement management system implementation for the county in 2019, bringing continuity and beneficial historical knowledge to this new project cycle.
During the system implementation, APTech:
· Performed automated data collection services across 350 county miles using APTech’s EDGE.
· Generated pavement condition index values using the collected data.
· Configured the county’s pavement management software with treatment strategies and performance models.
· Trained county staff on the use of their pavement management system to perform budget analyses and creating work need projections.
· Used historical condition data to assess treatment efficacy and assisted the county in deciding which treatments provided acceptable
cost/benefit.
· Extracted asset information from right-of-way imagery to update the county’s GIS platform with more complete data.
APTech is eager to begin work on this project. We have collected thousands of miles of condition data and have helped countless clients make informed, data driven decisions about their pavements.
