WAMA Annual Conference Takes Flight with APTech in Attendance
On Monday, May 9th the Washington Airport Management Association (WAMA) kicks off its annual conference at the Sun Mountain Lodge in Winthrop, Washington. This event’s agenda provides a forum for WAMA members, industry personnel, and state and federal government representatives to showcase current aviation projects that promote effective airport management.
APTech has supported WAMA for years through membership and sponsorship, and we are proud to once again be sponsoring golf holes during the 2022 Golf Tournament. In addition, APTech is a sponsor of WAMA’s bi-weekly Waypoints news bulletin. Waypoints provides up-to-date news to airport managers, staff, and other stakeholders in Washington’s aviation system.
APTech has worked on various airport and aviation projects throughout the state and current WAMA member Maggie Covalt, P.E., will be present throughout the entire conference. “I’ve been attending this event for many years and I always love catching up with everyone who is involved in making it happen. The speakers are great and the conversations after are always educational. Each year this event keeps getting better!” said Maggie.
Maggie is a Vice President of APTech and served as the Project Manager during the last statewide Airport Pavement Management System update. This work included updating WSDOT’s interactive pavement management tool, IDEA. She is very knowledgeable about the state’s aviation needs and is always happy to discuss them with people. If you see Maggie throughout the three-day event, be sure to say hi and strike up a conversation with her!
