APTech's Mark Gardner raises pavement management awareness at APWA's Tennessee Chapter Conference
APTech’s Local Municipalities and Private Agencies program director Mark Gardner, P.E. is attending the American Public Works Association (APWA), Tennessee Chapter’s 2022 TCAPWA/SWANA Annual Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. The event takes place from November 8 to November 10.
Mark was invited to this conference to speak about APTech’s work for the Knoxville Transportation Planning Organization (TPO). The work is ongoing and allows multiple agencies within the TPO the opportunity to pool their resources for better pavement management and preservation treatments. With this presentation, Mark hopes to raise awareness of the benefits of this unique approach to pavement management.
The presentation, titled “Pavement Management – Achieving Regional Benefits with a Collaborative Approach” will be given by both Mark Gardner and Craig Luebke of the TPO. Craig will be sharing with APWA attendees the administrative aspects of the project and the advantages of using a TPO to achieve agency goals. From there, Mark will discuss how the project was implemented and the technical results, including how the agencies benefitted from the experience.
