Continuing Tradition, APTech Sends Staff to SWIFT Conference

For over 20 years, APTech has attended or presented at SWIFT, a conference and expo for the commercial airport community. After being cancelled in 2020 and going virtual last year, SWIFT 22 is once again holding a blended conference from September 12 to 15. This year, Pavement Engineer Peter-Paul Dzwilewski, P.E. will be speaking at the event.

Peter will be speaking on Tuesday, September 13 at 1:45 p.m. as part of a group discussing airport pavement evaluation. His discussion will focus on the evaluation of crack progression. Peter’s presentation, Evaluating Progression of Cracking in Asphalt Concrete Pavements, stems from a data mine performed by APTech. Previous projects were searched for any meaningful trends that could help with pavement management.

“Going to this conference in-person again is exciting,” said Peter. “It allows me to learn about some interesting projects and presents a great opportunity to collaborate with airports and other consultants.”

In addition to Peter’s discussion, SWIFT gives attendees the opportunity to experience:

  • Up-front access to the latest airfield technologies.

  • Technical and operational sessions.

  • Canadian, US, European and International airport and government delegates.

  • Canadian Airfield Pavement Technical Group (CAPTG) sessions.
