David Peshkin to Speak at the Midwestern Pavement Preservation Partnership
Since early 2020, the Midwestern Pavement Preservation Partnership (MPPP) has been unable to meet in person. However, this year the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) forum was able to schedule a conference in St. Louis from September 13 to September 15. APTech’s Chief Engineer and Vice President David Peshkin, P.E. was invited to speak at the event.
David is an At-Large Director for the MPPP and has been a frequent participant and contributor for many years. As this conference focuses on pavement preservation, it falls directly into David’s technical area of interest and expertise. This year he will be presenting Successful Practices for Maintaining and Resurfacing Existing AC/PCC Composite Pavements on Thursday, September 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
“The organizing group has put together an excellent program and I’m looking forward to learning what colleagues are working on, what practices have been successful for them, and what their pavement preservation plans are for the future,” said David. “I’ll also be talking about some of APTech’s work on composite pavements.”
This conference provides APTech an opportunity to expand our activities in pavement preservation, a strength of our company for over two decades. Additionally, this event brings together agencies, contractors, and consultants from all over the Midwest—a region in which APTech does extensive work. Sharing pavement preservation methods and other topics of mutual interest allows us to continue to refine our practices to better serve new and existing clients.
