Amidst her busy days serving as Director for both the Nevada and Western Tribal Technical Assistance Programs, APTech’s Carrie Brown, MSML, found time to sit down for a series of interviews featured in this year’s issue of the Nevada Transportation Annual.

This digital publication provides a wealth of resources for industry professionals, including updates on transportation projects throughout the state, interviews with local experts like Carrie, and the latest on emerging trends and innovative practices.

This year’s issue features two Q&A-style interviews with Carrie—the first from her perspective as the Nevada Technical Assistance Program (NVLTAP) Director, a position she has served in since 2023. In this interview, Carrie shares recent NVLTAP successes and her perspectives on issues the industry faces like workforce development, capacity building, and travel safety.

In the second interview, Carrie speaks as the Western Tribal Technical Assistance Program (WTTAP) Director and gives an overview of that program’s numerous and important services. The WTTAP is a federally funded agency that delivers training, peer exchanges, technology transfers, and more to communities and organizations in need.
