Project Renewal: Missouri Statewide Airport Pavement Management System Update

APTech was recently reselected by the Missouri Department of Transportation, Multimodal Operations – Aviation Section to update their statewide airport pavement management system (APMS) through 2029. Since its implementation of just five airports in 2002, APTech has helped the agency grow their system to include over 70 airports today.

This project will once again be led by Project Manager Laura Raczkowski, P.E., who has served in this role since 2015. Laura’s expertise in airport pavement management is far-reaching—she currently oversees four other statewide APMS projects in addition to Missouri.

The project will be carried out in three phases with approximately one-third of the system’s airports inspected during each phase. Throughout the project, APTech will provide:

  • Pavement construction history reviews

  • Network definition and map updates

  • Pavement Condition Index inspections

  • PAVER software updates

  • Maintenance and rehabilitation plans

  • IDEA updates

  • Project reports

“We were thrilled to continue our longstanding relationship with MoDOT Aviation Section,” said Laura. “Working with these airports has always been a great experience. Everyone involved is a pleasure to work with and we’re excited to get going on this year’s project.”

Through this work, MoDOT Aviation Section will have the tools and resources to improve the overall quality of their pavement network and maintain safe and reliable airport operations.
