Too often, local transportation agencies are faced with the difficult task of maintaining their roadway networks on ever-shrinking budgets. At APTech, we understand the critical role pavements and other infrastructure play in a community. We have the knowledge and skills to not only understand and address your pavement needs but also effectively communicate those needs to stakeholders. Whether your agency needs a full pavement management system implementation or just simple updates to your existing one, we’ve got you covered.

Our approach to pavement management is informed by our decades of experience working side-by-side with our clients to understand what is needed to achieve their pavement goals. We provide innovative and workable solutions to meet our client’s needs, taking into consideration budget uncertainties, busy schedules, and tight timelines.

Our typical pavement management process

Let APTech’s highly trained pavement management specialists use their knowledge and experience to ensure the success of your next system implementation or update. Our projects often include the following phases:

Needs Analysis

Together, we’ll review your project goals and objectives, team member responsibilities, expectations for deliverables, and the project schedule.

Network Definition

We identify the types of data to be collected and segment the network to prepare for the data collection.

Data Collection

We conduct pavement condition assessments and compile inventory information using both automated and manual data collection methods. We can also collect roadway asset type, location, condition information, and anything else your agency deems valuable.

Database Development

Next, we compile the data collected into your database, determine work needs, and develop rehabilitation and maintenance strategies.

Budget Analysis

We conduct multiyear analyses to identify the resources needed to maintain your network at targeted condition levels. This analysis can also identify projects that optimize the budgets available in each of the analysis years.

Training

We can provide customized training to your agency on all aspects of pavement management, from software use to the overall pavement management strategy.

What our clients say …

City Council recently adopted our tentative budget, and we were approved for an additional $1.8 million in pavement management [...] I wanted to let you know of this success since you were a big part of the effort last year to provide education on pavement management needs.
