APTech celebrates grand opening in new headquarters
APTech celebrates our grand opening in Research Park.
Employees and community members recently gathered to celebrate APTech’s grand opening of our new company headquarters in the University of Illinois Research Park in Champaign, Illinois.
The new headquarters in Research Park has already proven beneficial for company growth.
While APTech moved into the new office last September, this event provided an opportunity to open our space to the public. Local community members were able to tour the space and learn more about APTech’s services. The event was sponsored by the University of Illinois Research Park.
The celebration featured several speakers. Research Park Executive Director, Laura Appenzeller, served as emcee for the event and detailed the 25-year history of the district APTech now calls home. Dr. Susan Martinis, Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation at the University of Illinois, described how APTech’s work fits within the larger scientific hub of the Champaign-Urbana community.
APTech President, Monty Wade, also spoke about the firm’s history and how the new location will help facilitate continued growth and new company milestones. “Our new headquarters in the University of Illinois Research Park has brought a new energy to our employees, improved productivity, and spurred collaboration and innovation. We could not be more thrilled about our new space.”
To close out the official ceremonies, APTech Principals Kurt Smith, Todd Hoerner, Geneveive Long, and Stephanie Slife joined Laura, Susan, and Monty for the ribbon cutting, officially solidifying APTech’s place within Research Park.
Since moving to our location, APTech has already added 12 new employees, with additional team members expected to join in the coming months. “This expansion is only possible because of the additional space our new office provides, along with the great location and professional atmosphere offered by the Research Park,” declared Monty.
