As part of our longstanding membership with the Arizona Airports Association (AzAA), APTech is proud to announce that it is once again a sponsor of AzAA’s Spring Conference. AzAA was formed 1979 to bring together representatives of public and private airports, along with others interested in the general benefit of aviation, to provide information, expertise, and support to everyone who works in the state’s aviation industry.

The AzAA “Dutch Bertholf” Spring Conference allows industry members with current projects in the state to present the work that they currently have taking place. APTech is one of these firms and has been both a participant and sponsor in this regard. This year, in addition to our gold tier sponsorship, we are providing gift cards for raffles and sponsoring one of the holes for the golf tournament on Sunday, May 1.

This year, Maggie Covalt, P.E., will be in attendance. Maggie is APTech’s project manager for the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Triennial Update of its Airport Pavement Management System (APMS), which involves pavement inspections throughout the state and the identification of projects for inclusion in the Arizona Pavement Preservation Program.

Maggie has led the APMS since 2000 and has been part of the airport pavement engineering and pavement management community for more than 35 years. If you’re attending the conference, be sure to say hello to Maggie, as she’s more than happy to share information regarding our ongoing APMS project or discuss anything else aviation-related!

The conference will be taking place May 1–3 at the Omni Tucson National Resort in Marana, Arizona and is co-hosted by Marana Regional Airport and Pinal County.
